Youth and Educators Day: Oct. 4th, 2024

Our Youth and Educators Day is a special event on Friday October 4th from 12pm-5pm 

Come participate in panels and performances specifically made to engage young minds and answer questions! Visit the vendor floor before the crowds and get a chance to network with amazing artists both local to Denver and some that have traveled miles to be here with us! 

Tentative Schedule

12pm-Arrival and lunch options from our food trucks, eat some yummy treats while watching a dance performance, participate in a sensory friendly art making activity or browse the vendor floor.

1pm-5pm- Panels and Vendor floor open. 

Special Activity- Get an áyA Con Collector's Booklet from our Merch Booth! This little sketch book is a fun way to collect art or stickers from our vendors and to make sure you get the most out of your visit with us! 

We welcome all fandoms, fursuits and even Halloween costumes but there are some rules to consider. 

COSPLAY CONTEST RULES

*BE RESPECTFUL -no costumes intentionally making a mockery of culture or people.

*You must have made or altered at least 50% of your cosplay. It cannot all be store bought.

*BE HONEST- you will have a moment to share about your costume if someone else made it give them credit. 

*KEEP IT PG-13- we are a multigenerational event. 

*NO REAL WEAPONS- please make sure all props are made out of foam, wood or soft materials. NO ACTUAL BLADES OR FIREARMS.

*NO PYROTECHNICS: Including but not limited to actual fire, fireworks, flash powder, explosives, or smoke bombs. 

*ONLY SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED- as much as we would love to see your dog dressed up as Dog-Pool unless they are trained to handle crowds please leave them at home. That being said if you need a service animal to accompany you in the contest and want to dress them up, please feel free to. 

*HAVE FUN WITH IT- you will have about 30 seconds to present your costume during this time you can perform a skit, play a song, do a little dance whatever you feel fits your costume!
